The University of Engineering & Technology, Peshawar is opening its doors for the academic year 2024. This blog post will guide you through the admission process, eligibility criteria, and the ETEA Entrance Test 2024.
ETEA Entrance Test 2024
The Education Testing & Evaluation Agency (ETEA), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, conducts the Centralized Engineering Entrance test. This test is mandatory for admissions into Undergraduate Engineering Programs in all Public/Private Sector Engineering Universities and Colleges of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
How to Apply
Candidates should fill the online registration form on the ETEA website for each test on payment of Rs.1000/- per test (non-refundable). Roll Numbers will be issued one week before the test. After the announcement of Entrance Test Results, candidates are required to submit an online admission application form as per the schedule announced by the University of Engineering and Technology, Peshawar.
Eligibility Criteria
The following categories of candidates are eligible to apply:
Candidates who have passed Intermediate (Pre-Engineering/Computer Science or pre-medical with additional Maths) examination from a recognized Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) in Pakistan, or an equivalent examination, and have obtained at least 60% unadjusted marks, with a combination of subjects Physics, Mathematics & Chemistry/Computer Science.
Candidates who have passed a three-years post-matric Diploma of Associate Engineer (DAE) or B-Tech exam and have obtained at least 60% unadjusted marks.
Intermediate Part-II/DAE Part-III/A-level result awaited candidates are provisionally allowed to appear in the Entrance Test.
Test Schedule
The schedule for the ETEA Entrance Test 2024 is as follows:
Test-I: Online Registration from 1st June, 2024 to 28th June, 2024. The Entrance Test-I Date is 7th July, 2024.
Test-II: Online Registration from 8th July, 2024 to 22nd July, 2024. The Entrance Test-II Date is 28th July, 2024.
Test Format
The test format is as follows:
- For Intermediate(Pre-Engineering/Computer Science) OR DAE/B-Tech Candidates: Physics:40, Mathematics: 35, English: 15, Chemistry/Computer Science:10
- Total of 100 MCQs
- No negative marking
